Should I try to do This with 1971s?

I am debating trying to find 1971s in nice condition, but not PSA cards.  Has anyone tried this with football and baseball?  When I find 1971s, the baseball cards seem to usually be beat up.  The football cards seem to be nicer cards.  Have you seen this to be true?

I am still working on 1971 variations.  For that project any condition will do.  If you have G-VG extras I'd be looking for a bunch of different variations.

2020 has been a slow year for me with my cards.  Now that I'm done coaching for a while, I plan to get back to blogging and conversing with other collectors.  Feel free to e-mail me at the address at the top of the blog.

This Kellogg's Set Has Eluded Me For a Long Time - Two Cards To Go

I've been reluctant to complete a nice 1975 Kellogg's set due to the cost of cards with nice, bright colors and no cracks.  I've gotten close.  I am down to upgrading these two cards.  Both have cracks across the entire front of the card.  I have a few other examples of these cards with too many cracks to count.

It looks like the big card shows won't be happening around here for a while.  Does anyone have nice versions of this card to trade?

What is next?  I am still working on some 1970 Kellogg's baseball cards in nice shape.  I haven't even considered how much the nice 1971's might cost.  That is the only set I would even consider going toward graded cards.  Why?  Most of the ones I see look like they've been in a toy box for many years.

Nice Discussion of Kellogg's Variations

 https://www.net54baseball.com/showthread.php?t=289258

Do you collect or care about Kellogg's variations?

Are you looking for any Kellogg's variations?  I need a bunch of 1971s and a few 1979s.

There are a few different types of variations.

1.  Team logos

2.  Statistics

3.  Text write-ups

4.  Trademark and related

5.  Picture on the back

6.  Missing card number

Did I miss any types of errors?

Great Reading - 1968 Topps 3-D

Check out this thread on Net54 and the links.  There is lots of details on the 1968 Topps 3-D cards.  I had no idea that there were so many variations.

Does Anyone Else Have Kellogg's Proof Cards?

I got these in the mail today.

These are from the Benanti collection.  Does anyone else have any cards from this collection?  I picked up a few over the last 10 years.  Beckett auctioned them off years ago and shared information about where these cards originated.

Does anyone have other Kellogg's Proof cards?  Do you know the history behind the cards?

I'll Be Back Soon

School starts next week and it should make me less busy than I am now.  I've got a few new things to talk about.  Stay tuned.
