Not Today Reggie

On this day in 1978 Reggie Jackson was struck out by Bob Welch.  Nothing more needs to be said.  I'm going back to watching the playoffs.

  2. I stayed up until 1:45 and the game only went 13 innings. I heard that one inning yesterday went 66 minutes. Teams are using 5+ pitchers in one inning. I'd rather watch the manager (Herzog, Madden, others) switch two pitchers back and forth from the outfield and the mound. They impress me even more if they also move the pitcher and an outfielder to lessen the chances that the ball is hit to the pitcher in the outfield.
