Baseball-reference.com lists Lou Gehrig's last game as April 30, 1939. He only played in eight games that season. In that game he was 0-for-4.
According to nationalpastime.com, on June 12, 1939 he played in an exhibition game against the Class AA affiliate of the Yankees. He was 0-for-1. On this day the first Hall of Fame class was inducted at Cooperstown. Gehrig was inducted later in the year when it was apparent that his career was over.
Gehrig was also an all-star in 1939. He was on the roster for the July 11th game. He did not enter the game.
