Old Article About the 1991 Kellogg's Cards

Here is a nice article about the 1991 set.

1991 Kellogg's Cards - Baltimore Sun

The checklist is interesting.  How did they end up with Boog Powell and Don Baylor and 13 Hall of Famers?

Boog got five votes in 1983 and then he was off the ballot.

Don got 12 votes in 1994 and 1995 and then he was off the ballot.

Were they trying to get someone else but they couldn't reach a deal?

The team needed someone who could play second base.  Any ideas of players from the same era as these guys?

  1. If they wanted to get in Orioles, there's Bobby Grich, who isn't in the Hall but has a good case to be.

Or just go with Jackie Robinson or Joe Morgan.
