The surgery named after him has become some doctors full-time work. There are now pitchers who've had the surgery more than once.
At first, I was thinking Jim Kaat. But with the injury stuff, I figured it must be Tommy John. Plus, no one I know has the first name "Kaat." Kat maybe.
