1968 Topps 3-D PSA Totals

I have one that is not graded, but here are the PSA totals.

#graded -- 584
# 10s ----- 46
# 9s ------ 123

Unlike most sets, where the most well-known players have the most graded cards, this is quite different.  Outside of variations, here are the graded counts of the 12 cards.

Willie Davis    -- 82
Ron Fairly      --  81
Jim Maloney   -- 68
Tony Perez      -- 57
Bob Clemente -- 52
Bill Robinson  -- 50
Ron Swoboda  -- 38
Curt Flood       -- 37
Jim Lonborg    -- 34
Rusty Staub     -- 33
Mel Stottlemyre- 29
Boog Powell    -- 27

SGC has graded 18 Clementes.  I'm not checking any other cards from this list.

  1. Do you have multiple copies of the set graded? There must have been a lot of these given away in cereal. Thanks for sharing!

  2. I have two graded cards total and one other card. That's it. This project will probably last into my retirement. If I buy the Clemente I will never be able to afford retirement. These were not placed in cereal boxes.

Here is a story about it - https://www.beckett.com/news/1968-topps-3-d-baseball/

  3. I feel there is a Topps Employee that has a Nice Stash somewhere....maybe one day they will bring them out to sell...

  4. If that employee was only 20 during 1968, that would make them 70 years old today. The current value and the age of the employee would both make it a great time to bring them out to sell, or at least grade.
