Why Was a 1982 Kellogg's Card of Bob Knepper on My Refrigerator?

A 1982 Bob Knepper was on the refrigerator at my parents' house for months in 1982 and 1983.  Last weekend I asked around to find out the story.  Two of my younger brothers collected cards so it seemed odd that they wouldn't have added to their collections.  The card must have been on the refrigerator for a long time because everyone remembered it.  We didn't keep things on the refrigerator normally, so the card certainly stood out.

I was away at school, so I thought that maybe the card was left there for me when I returned home.  Nope.

Any Astros fan in the family wanting to show off the card?  Not even close.

Was he the favorite player of one of my sisters?  I doubt that they ever heard of him.

Sorry Bob, but the story I am hearing is that no one really wanted the card.  I'm glad they kept it for me.
