Mets vs. Royals Kellogg's Cards - Batting Stats

David Wright is the career hit leader for the Mets.  His total of 1,746 trails Royals leader George Brett by 1,408.   Advantage Royals.

That's not a big career total for the Mets for a team that is as old as me.

Only three Mets players featured on Kellogg's cards managed to exceed 1,000 hits.  Ed Kranepool was the career leader in hits for the Mets for a long time until Wright passed him.  Bud Harrelson and Cleon Jones also managed 1,000+ hits as members of the Mets.

The Royals exceeded the Mets count of three.  Royals that exceeded 1,000 hits - George Brett, Frank White, Amos Otis, Willie Wilson, Hal McRae and Freddie Patek,  Advantage Royals.

As for homers and a Kellogg's card only Kranepool and Dave Kingman exceeded 100 homers as a Met.

The Royals list of 100 homers includes George Brett, Amos Otis, Hal McRae and Frank White.  Advantage Royals.
